Refund policy

Thank you for shopping with MTB District.

Our goal is to make sure you’re satisfied with your purchase.
This Return & Refund Policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds are handled for all mountain bikes and related products purchased from MTB District.

1. Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return:

  • the bike must be in original condition as sold

  • the bike must be returned with all original packaging, accessories & documentation

We cannot accept returns on bikes that show signs of extended use, riding, wear, damage, or modification.

2. Return Window

Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned:

  • any bike customisation post purchase

  • user negligence or damage

4. Return Shipping

Unless the return is caused by an error on our side (wrong item sent, defective on arrival, etc.), the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Return shipments must include tracking and proper packaging to prevent transit damage.

MTB District is not responsible for damage caused by return shipping carriers.

5. Inspection & Approval

Once we receive your returned item, it will be inspected.

Refunds are not guaranteed until the inspection is complete.

If approved, a refund will be processed back to your original payment method.

If the bike is returned used, damaged, or incomplete, MTB District reserves the right to refuse the refund or deduct a restocking fee.

6. Refund Timeframes

Approved refunds may take 5-10 business days to appear depending on your bank or payment provider.

7. Exchanges

Exchanges are processed as:

  1. you return the original bike (once approved)

  2. you place a new order for the replacement model

8. Warranty Claims

MTB District offers a 30 Day warranty on all products.

Our bikes are inspected and checked before sale, but as with any used bike, mechanical issues can occasionally develop after riding. If a covered mechanical fault develops within the first 30 days of receiving your bike, we’ll work with you to put it right.

The warranty can cover issues such as:

  • Bearings developing excessive play or an abnormal squeak
  • Gears requiring adjustment or alignment
  • A dropper post developing a fault or stopping functioning correctly
  • Brakes developing a mechanical issue
  • Other mechanical faults that affect the bike’s normal operation

What’s not covered?

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, frame/cosmetic damage, accidental damage, misuse, crashes or damage caused by modifications or incorrect maintenance.

As a pre-loved bike, some components will naturally show signs of previous use and may require routine maintenance or replacement over time. The warranty is intended to cover unexpected mechanical faults, rather than normal servicing or consumable replacement.

Our promise: Every bike leaves us checked, functional and ready to ride — and if an unexpected mechanical issue develops within your first 30 days, we’ll do our best to get you back on the trails.
